Family Video fundraiser hits half million dollar mark

Family Video, the company that only recently launched an extremely clever campaign to raise money for the Lymphoma Research Foundation called 'Round It Up' is announcing that they have reached the half million dollar mark in donations.

'Round It Up For Lymphoma' is a campaign launched by the US movie and game rentailer that gives its customers the opportunity to support cancer research by rounding up their purchases to the nearest dollar (or they can simply make a donation to the LRF), with 100 percent of all donations going directly to the LRF.

“We have witnessed a remarkable response from our customers,” said Family Video President Keith Hoogland. “We are raising both awareness and money. Some people don’t know that lymphoma is cancer and the disease has personally affected others. The money and time donated by our customers, employees and community members has been incredible!”

The campaign only began on March 15, so it is staggering to see how quickly it has reached $500,000. It will continue through April 1.
