Cancer and your Sex Life

Cancer affects all areas of your life – from the way you look, to the way you feel about yourself, and the way others perceive you. In the last several years, fertility after cancer has become more open, particular after Lance Armstrong shared his fertility challenges publicly.

But what about sexuality? How does cancer affect your sex life? You may have found not many people are talking about this important facet of life. If you are interested in finding out more, you need to get to know Dr. Sueann Mark, a sexologist who was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer.

She offers a workshop titled, STEPS, a simple, step-by-step process designed to help you open up to all the possibilities of sexuality, enhance your senses, and rediscover pleasure after cancer. During this four-week workshop you will learn how to adapt to your new body, broaden your definition of sex and practice sexual communication skills. Women survivors of any cancer type are welcome!

You can also get phone or in person counseling sessions, or see videos of her talks on her website. Find out more at http://www.drsueannmark.com. A healthy sex life after cancer is possible!
