Third Grade Cancer Survivor Posts Video Tips to Newly Diagnosed Football Player

Jake Daniel is a third grader who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in December.

By May he had battled through chemotherapy, so when the seven year-old football fan heard about the Houston Texans' David Quessenberry, the 300 lb National Football League player who was recently diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, Jake decided to make a how-to video of sorts on getting through the ups and downs of chemotherapy for Quessenberry. He posted the video on YouTube.

Among his tips to the pro football player:

  • Always keep your head up
  • Never give up
  • When you get the mouth sores, always eat Jell-O
  • Always flirt with nurses

Quessenberry saw the boy's YouTube video and was inspired enough to send him a tweet, saying "Jake, you just made my day my friend. Wise words, young stud, can't wait to meet you."
