A week after announcing that he had been diagnosed with stage I follicular non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, Pennsylvania State Senator Mike Folmer has returned to the work of legislating for his district.

The Senator spent part of the past week at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon, PA receiving the first of an expected six cycles of chemotherapy.

The 56 year old Senator first noticed a problem when the nodes in his neck began to swell but he wasn't gaining weight anywhere else across his body. Other symptoms included breathing difficulties and fluid collecting in the lungs.
