"A woman battling cancer has started her last chance chemotherapy in her fight to beat the disease.

Heather Parkinson, 27, of Queensway, Leyland, has Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and the disease was failing to respond to chemotherapy treatment.

Doctors felt Heather’s best chance was a trial treatment being run at London’s Royal Free Hospital which would have cost Heather’s primary care trust NHS Central Lancashire a one-off £3,000.

However, the PCT refused to fund the trial as the drug was unlicensed and Heather faced the prospect of paying £16,000 to fund the treatment as a private patient.

But kindhearted Evening Post readers rallied around and raised the money Heather needed by fundraising and making donations."

I believe that we should know how to take care of ourselves.We have our own responsibilities and obligations about it.A Tylenol recall is the latest embarrassment for McNeil Consumer Health care,a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. Quality control practices at McNeil Consumer Health care are being investigated by Congress as the 5th Tylenol recall in 12 months gets under way. Consumer complaints of a musty scent emanating from the bottles led Johnson and Johnson to remove the product from retail stores.
