Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen in treatment for B-cell lymphoma

Paul Allen, billionaire owner of NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers and the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks, is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment for Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma, according to various news sources.

Allen, who co-founded computer giant Microsoft with Bill Gates in 1975, retired from that company in 1983 at the age of 30 following a diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He was successfully treated then, according to the History of Computing Project, with “several months of radiation” and he may have also received a bone marrow transplant, although that’s unconfirmed.
