Family Video campaign raises $1 million in 17 days

In an astonishing display of just how easy it can be for a sizable company to raise a lot of money in a very short period of time, Family Video has announced that in just 17 days, they have raised a full $1 million for the Lymphoma Research Foundation.

Family Video's 750 rentailer stores took part in the campaign, which offered patrons the opportunity to round their purchase up to the nearest dollar and have that extra change go towards the Lymphoma Research Foundation.

Patrons also had the option of donating directly.

The campaign began on March 15, 2012 and ended on April 1. Individual stores were competing against one another to raise the most money, which likely contributed to the total, but in all Family Video managed to raise a remarkable $1 million for the Lymphoma Research Foundation, every penny of which will go towards supporting the LRF's many contributions in education, research, and support for patients with any of the many subtypes of lymphoma.
