American Society of Hematology (ASH) Meeting this Month

The American Society of Hematology (ASH) 47th Annual Meeting and Exposition was going on December 10-13th. Each December, the Society's annual meeting provides hematologists from around the world a forum for discussing critical issues in hematology. Nearly 20,000 clinicians, scientists, and others attend the four-day meeting.

A number of promising papers were published at the meeting including several relating to new drugs for lymphoma treatment. A list of articles on the findings can be found via Google Here. Usually the announcements are less profound than those at some other events.

Today is my wife's birthday. Besides various things to delight her, her big gift was the Nikon D50. We both have birthdays around the holidays which is a disadvantage in some ways. The D50 great digital SLR camera. Gotta run, she's itching to try it out.
