Family History of Blood Cancers and Risk of Lymphoma

An article in the latest issue of the Journal of the National Cancer Institute says a family history of hematopoietic malignancy (blood cancer) is associated with an increased risk of both Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Their conclusion was the increased risk of NHL and HL among individuals with a family history of hematopoietic malignancy was approximately twofold for both lymphoma types.
