Leukemia.Org Clothing Donation Scam

WABC TV 7 New York reports that charity clothing donation boxes have turned up in some New Jersey towns marked "leukemia.org", the domain name of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Reporter Tappy Phillips got to the bottom of the story - the boxes are not affiliated with LLS or any other charity! A woman reached at a phone number on the bins kept changing her story when each story did not check out. The consumer affairs division in New Jersey is investigating.

Remember if you donate to any group, even old clothes, make sure you know where they are truly going.
