Celebrity Charity Art Book

The Butterfly Book is a collection of butterflies drawn by some of the UK’s most famous artists, designers, writers, actors, politicians and other famous faces.

All the profits from the sale of this book will go to the Claire Elizabeth Wadley Forget-Me-Not Fund for Leukaemia Research. The Butterfly Book has been inspired by the life of Claire Wadley who died at the age of 25 after battling with Leukaemia for seven years.

Claire became heavily involved with raising money for Leukaemia Research and she worked tirelessly even when she was very ill. She overcame her illness several times and each time was determined to live her life to the full. But sadly it came back a final time in 2006 and she lost her valiant battle.

It is such a varied and interesting collection of butterflies. Imaginations have run riot. The butterflies are as varied as the names! Grayson Perry, Kate Winslet, Tony Blair, Peter Blake, Mary Fedden, Maggi Hambling, Ricky Gervais and many other household names make this an art book like no other. Some contributors, including award-winning writers Jeanette Winterson and Ann Widdecombe, have provided poetry and their contributions are incredibly personal and thoughtful.
