New Lymphoma Scientific Breakthrough
A new scientific breakthrough by researchers in Canada can help patients with lymphoma:
"Cancer researchers in British Columbia have made a new breakthrough in lymphoma treatment, discovering a way to predict which patients will be cured and which ones will likely relapse.
The New England Journal of Medicine celebrated the BC Cancer Agency study as the "breakthrough we have been looking for."
The discovery by a team of 26 scientists from throughout North America and Europe shows a new way to predict the 15 to 25 per cent of patients who will have a poor prognosis if they aren't treated more aggressively from the time of diagnosis."
