'Roc' actor dies at age 78

Actor Carl Gordon, best known for his role as Andrew Emerson on the sitcom "Roc" has passed away at his home in Virginia at the age of 78. According to a statement released by his family, the cause was non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

"Roc" (pictured, with Gordon on the left) which starred Charles S. Dutton. ran for three seasons (72 episodes) on FOX, cancelled in 1993 after its second and third seasons had switched to the risky format of being aired live and unedited. Jamie Foxx was also a regular on the show.

Gordon got his start on "Sesame Street", and following "Roc" also appeared on "The Practice", "Nash Bridges", "Law & Order" and a handful of other shows.
