San Francisco hoteliers gear up for 'Million Dollar Mission'

2010 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Man of the Year Tom Klein, General Manager and Regional Vice-President of the Fairmont and a member of the San Francisco Hotel Council Board, is spearheading an aggressive drive to raise money for the LLS called the "Million Dollar Mission."

The "Million Dollar Mission" is a 30-day city-wide crusade bringing together thousands of San Francisco hoteliers in an effort to provide financial, education and social services for individuals and their families affected by blood diseases like lymphoma and leukemia.

The Mission, an impressive single-industry supported fund-raiser, officially launches on 1 July 2012. Said Klein, "If we combine forces as the second largest employer and industry in San Francisco, 'we' can make a difference. I am personally seeking out support from community partners, vendors and guests of our fine city. I have every confidence that through our combined resources we will achieve this goal of raising one million dollars during the month of July."

Among the activities planned are employee drives, online auctions and guest outreach.
