NYC Triathletes race to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

The 2010 Nautica New York City Triathlon is taking place on 18 July and will feature 3,200 triathletes competing in a 1.5K swim in the Hudson river, a 40K bike ride to the Bronx, and a 10K run in Central Park.

An astonishing 450 of those triathletes are competing on behalf of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team-in-Training Program, and together they are aiming to raise $1.3 million for the organization.

Participating in the LLS' Team In Training Program for the triathletes has meant 10 hours of training per week under professional supervision for a total of 20 weeks.
