Family Video Will 'Round It Up For Lymphoma' Again

Family Video, the largest movie and game rental chain in the United States, will hold its 'Round It Up For Lymphoma' fundraiser for the second year in a row.

Beginning March 15 and running through the end of the month, customers of Family Video will be asked if they would be willing to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar. The money rounded up will be donated to one of two causes: the launch of a Lymphoma Tissue Bank at the University of Chicago Medicine and general lymphoma research at the Lymphoma Research Foundation (www.lymphoma.org).

Family Video president Keith Hoogland said in a statement:

Lymphoma is a disease that has touched the lives of many of our employees and their loved ones. By starting this tissue bank, we will be able to better understand why lymphoma develops and study how different environmental factors impact prognosis and treatment.

Ultimately the tissue bank will help us make significant progress toward finding a cure. Our customers have shown their generosity about this cause in the past and we are excited for our company to be able to play this role in the fight against lymphoma.

In 2012, Round It Up For Lymphoma raised $1 million for the Lymphoma Research Foundation, and that is once again the target for Family Video.
