I am a Survivor

I am a survivor of Hodkins IIA. I have been in remission for 31 years. I was 15 yrs when it was detected.. I had chemo(MOPP)and radiation. I was searching the internet for "MOPP" and came across this site. I am thankful to the doctors for catching my disease early. In fact, I am still seeing one of those doctors to this day.

1 year removed

this coming march will be 1 year since my last treatment. I just had my scans done the other day and I'm not feeling good about them. I have Non Hodgkin Chronic Lymphoma and leukemia (SLL and CLL) combined. I'm experiences symptoms again and some new ones like constant itchiness. I'm showing swollen lymph nodes in the neck area like I did the first time but i'm having really horrible back pains. They are sometimes debilitating. I'm becoming really discouraged, my nightmares have stopped but I fear that treatment is in my near future once again. Not sure how much more I can take, I've always been a very active person playing sports and such. Now after a days work I hardly have the energy to pick up my kids!

Carcinoid

My Wife has metastatic carcinoid - the Gallium scan is the same I think.

You can do it!

I am an eight year survivor of hodgkins lymphoma. I was diagnois at 15. I went through the six months of chemo and luckily never had to do radiation. I am thankful for my dotors and family that helped me through this difficult period. Believe in yourself and know you have to fight with everything you got and you will beat it. I wish everyone with this diagnosis the best and hope they put up one hell of a fight.
