justina-
your husband's dx is a very rare one. the treatment protocol of hyper-CVAD wasn't initially targeted against his subtype of lymphoma; it was designed in 1999 for Burkitt's lymphoma, which is a highly aggressive B-cell lymphoma. however, the fact that the initial patient population wasn't made up of people with TCLL doesn't mean much.

You can read a recent study, "Outcomes with the hyper-CVAD regimens in lymphoblastic lymphoma" which should confirm for you that it is probably the right treatment. As for prognosis, there are many other factors involved in determining prognosis. In general B-cell lymphomas have better prognoses than T-cell lymphomas, but this is a generalization only.
