So now first you had CHOP,
So now first you had CHOP, then you required second-line therapy and had DHAP, is that correct?
Have you had another biopsy? Lymphomas have the tendency to transform. You need to be treated according to the molecular specifics of this cancer, recurrent or otherwise. So a properly examined biopsy (meaning by a pathologist who specializes in blood disorders and who preferably works out of an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center) would determine what the best course of treatment is.
Assuming you're in the US, you're receiving gemcitabine off-label, as it hasn't been approved for lymphomas. Not a big deal, countless chemo drugs are prescribed off-label. Thing is, I'm only aware of one published use for gemcitabine, and that's for relapsed Hodgkin's lymphoma, and in that case, it's considered palliative only. And even then, the efficacy was very limited [see Venkatesh et al, "Results of a phase II multicenter trial of single-agent gemcitabine in patients with relapsed or chemotherapy-refractory Hodgkin's lymphoma." Clin Lymphoma 2004;5:110-115].
Have your docs discussed clinical trials or a stem cell transplant?

Skin biopsies have been
Skin biopsies have been carried out in my case ( only the left leg is affected in my case ) since Nov 2007 four times (latest being in April 2010) and every time the disease has been confirmed as T cell cutaneous NHL CD 30 +. The disease has got relapsed after 2.6 years. I had recd.CHOP/DHAP plus radiation during 2007-08. After relapse, which was detected during Feb 2010, doctors gave me reradiation in June 2010 which helped me a bit but the tumors/ulcer/lesions have further reappeared on the affected left leg - both on radiation area and also outside radiaion area. The whole left leg is now affected and Some tumours/ulcers thereon are leaking and also painful. The affected leg has enflamation now and has become stiff. Doctors here now saying my disease is agressive and rare one and have prescribed Gemcitabine for my further treatment. Please advise which is the correct chemo medicine for me.
