I have had one treatment of ABVD and am experiencing severe shoulder joint pain. What can I do to alleveate this pain? I have tried ice and it does not help. I have Morphine and Oxycodine and neither of them mask the pain.

Joint pain is common
Joint pain is common following ABVD therapy. Are you also being given Neupogen?
Either way, my understanding is that some people get relief from that pain by being given gabapentin from their doctor. Since neither morphine nor oxycodone--considerably strong opioids--is doing the trick, you might consider asking about this medication.

Ross - I have an appointment with my family doctor today and I will certainly ask him about gabapentin. Thank you for the insight; if this works I will be greatful. I can handle the foggy feeling and mouth sores, but the constant shoulder pain is unbearable.
