Duncan: Unfortunately there
Duncan:
Unfortunately there aren't any "new" treatments for MCL, it's still a very poorly understood disease. As recently as a year ago we were being told it was an indolent lymphoma, now we're told it's often aggressive. In other words, in the MCL world things are changing rapidly.
Velcade was approved for MCL in 2006, but only for certain patients.
BioVest recently received orphan drug status for MCL for a vaccine they're working on, but BioVest also recently had to file chapter 11, so there may be some delay in that drug getting to market.
I would check with either the MCL Consortium, or I would look for MCL related clinical trials at clinicaltrials.gov.
