I assume you mean he's having an autologous bone marrow transplantation. While that doesn't necessarily say what stage, if we assume that his Hodgkins has so-called 'bone marrow involvement', meaning the cancer has spread to his bone marrow, then by convention, your brother has stage IV Hodgkin's, the most advanced stage.
