It depends entirely on which cancer, and there are probably 200 types of cancer. Some cancers show no symptoms until they're in advanced stages, while others show symptoms right away.

Common signs for lymphomas also depend on which subtype of lymphoma, but in general, painless swollen lymph nodes in the neck or groin, night sweats, unexplained fevers, and weight loss can signify some types of lymphomas.
