There are so many variables

There are so many variables at work that it's hard to say if he can beat it or not. The lymphoma subtype is important; so is your grandpa's overall health, which may determine the kind of treatment he can endure. Stage IV is never a good diagnosis, and it is a reason for you to be worried for him, no doubt about that, but his general health, and the type of lymphoma, are perhaps the most important factors.
