I'm not exactly sure of your question, but subtypes of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma include both extranodal t-cell lymphoma (nasal type) and angioimmunoblastic t-cell lymphoma.

thank you Ross,I'm not sure

thank you Ross,I'm not sure what questions to ask because he was just admitted to the hospital and I'm halfway across the country. It has been more or less piece mill because of that I onlt know of his symtoms and they were some loss of hearing and nasal congestion. His lymp nodes are the size of golf balls.I really have hope just by reading all these q and a online here.I know they may want to do a bone morrow transplant but I don't think that that's like a last ditch effort. It may be part of the kind of trement he is getting. Also I have never heard of either extranodal t-cell or angioimmunoblastic t-cell, but they fit the symtoms.I'm just a sister that wants to understand and be there for him.I'm very quite and I will just listen, because HE is the one that is realing form all this new info and undergoing the chemo. I just want to make sure he gets the best trement that Raleigh,NC can offer thank you so much for your answer. I will look up extranodal t-cell.

Kelly-
Nobody WANTS to do a bone marrow transplant, doctor or patient, because while, OK it may not be last ditch all the time, it is often the treatment decision that isn't performed unless it's the only medical solution remaining, and the reason is because it's a transplant, a somewhat dangerous procedure, and the recovery time can be lengthy.

As for your brother I hope for the best, and I suggest you try to find out his precise diagnosis because lymphoma is so confusing, there are so many subtypes of lymphoma; but once you have the diagnosis, it becomes easier to understand his treatment because often treatments are standard for many lymphoma subtypes.

I hope that makes sense.
