Infections do cause lymph
Infections do cause lymph nodes to enlarge. The question is, what do they feel like to you? Are they hard, rubbery and painless? And what about other symptoms? I realize you've had the infection, but what about unexplained weight loss, fevers, night sweats? Maybe a prolonged cough? The big question I think is how the nodes feel to you. Go from there. If they're painless, and you have other possible symptoms, then I might consider seeking a second opinion. If the doctor in question did nothing but feel your neck-- didn't ask about other symptoms or ask what the nodes felt like, I'd seek a second opinion.
