The response (to treatment)
The response (to treatment) criteria and definitions as they pertain to malignant lymphomas were first laid out in I think 1999 through an international workshop (http://jco.ascopubs.org/content/17/4/1244.long), they were then revised slighly in 2007 (http://jco.ascopubs.org/content/25/5/579.long), but this is probably about where things stand. As you'll see from the citations, it's a rather complex scheme, but it does provide for hematologist/oncologists a frame within which to work.
