What is the survival rate for persons diagnosed with Stage 4 of the disease?

Most doctors will tell you that the survival rate for Stage IV Hodgkin's lymphoma is 80%. JUST because the doctors say 80% doesn't mean that there aren't those who fully recover. My son was diagnosed with Stage IV-A Hodgkin's late last year. We are currently doing rounds of chemo (at round 5 now). His scans are showing shrinkage and we are expecting that he will be fine. His attitude speaks volumes to us about the resilence of youth. He's 16 and does most of the things that he wants to do. He drives (he has his permit), goes out with friends, does schoolwork at home, and has a great attitude. He/we may not know why this happened to him but he is going through and we are believing for his full recovery.

Seven years ago, i was diagnosed with Stage II B hodgkin's lymphoma. I was 16 that time. I just want to say that nothing is impossible with the LORD. Have faith in HIm. KEEp praying and you'll witness the same miracle that happened to me.
God heals...

Amen to that, the power of prayer is amazing.

Did You Know?

Since the early 1970s, incidence rates for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma have nearly doubled. Improved diagnosis has contributed greatly to the increase as doctors better understand cancer of lymphocytes and can distinguish it from other diseases.
