If not Lymphoma then what?

Hello,
Hello,
In May I had bloodwork done which showed an abnormal TSH and that led to an Ultra Sound being done.
I was diagnosed with an irregular hypoechoic nodule in my right upper thyroid lobe. An FNA was done which returned with the results of "suspicious for lymphoma". A week later, a thyroidectomy was done. The initial biopsy done at the hospital reported that Hashimoto's disease was found. Of course, the specimen was sent out for pathology and we had to wait another week for those results. The final report came back as showing Hashimoto's ,but, in addition, the Flow Cytometry showed that lymphoma could not be ruled out. So, I now am being sent to an oncologist in 1.5 weeks. What is normally the next step? And, is it normally this hard to get a diagnosis? Could this be nothing? After two reports of possible Lymphoma I am getting anxious to find out what is wrong and where I need to go next. Thanks so much for taking time to read this and responding. After going through this for 6 weeks I am getting impatient for answers.
