I think I have lymphoma but my PCP family doctor doesn't seem too concerned and has not ordered any tesing but a chest xray and mamogram? What should I do?

Depending on your symptoms, a chest x-ray could reveal evidence of lymphoma if there's a bulky mass in the x-ray field. But what makes you think you have lymphoma?

your doctor has no reason to not care. HE IS YOUR DOCTOR! not only is it his job, that he gets paid very nicely for...but if he did not care about his job then why does he do it for his living? i would suggest talking to a different doctor. if it comes down to it, ask for a referall to Mayo Clinic. they ALWAYS care, or if they dont they are really good at pretending to care and being succesful at their jobs. im sorry your doctor makes you feel as if he is apathetic. im sending out hope and strength to you and your family.

Since the early 1970s, incidence rates for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma have nearly doubled. Improved diagnosis has contributed greatly to the increase as doctors better understand cancer of lymphocytes and can distinguish it from other diseases.
