Unfortunately, your pathology
Unfortunately, your pathology results are more important to you than they are to the people who process them.
I wouldn't be surprised if your doctor- primary care, or oncologist, whoever ordered the biopsy - already had the results, and just hasn't gotten around to them. Like I told another person on this site, those pathology results are YOURS, you paid for a service, so you have every right to them. If I were you I would call my doctor and I would call the clinic or hospital where the biopsy was done and even the pathologist's office if you can find out, and simply ask for them. Unless they're severely back-logged or lazy, it should have been done by now.
Call them, and remember, these are your things. You have a right to them.
To clarify, you're probably going to want a copy of the clinical pathology findings from your biopsy, or pathologist's report. They are the ones making the diagnosis of the subtype. I would start with the doctor who ordered the biopsy, call his or her office. If they don't have it, ask them to find it and get back to you within the hour. If they don't call back, call again. and again.
Ross
Ross is correct - these are
Ross is correct - these are your records and you have a right to request them. I had the same problem just getting my MRI report back and then getting the biopsy scheduled. Once I had the biopsy done, it was less than a week before I had my results. Please start making some calls so you will know what you are dealing with. At that point you should have some information to begin your planning and get out of the limbo you are in. Always get names and phone numbers with all the medical professional you deal with. Ask for a reasonable expectation for test results and call them when you don't hear back. When you take charge of your own health it will empower you.
Well put. And getting names
Well put. And getting names of the people you deal with is a dynamite suggestion; when people suddenly have to give you their name, they become more accountable for the job they're doing.
