Hi there, after being treated and in remission for NHL stage 2 for 10 years, my mom's recent blood test has shown LDH 2X higher than normal and lost about 10lb. Does anyone have any idea, as she lives overseas and I'm very worried. Many thanks.

Elevated LDH levels can mean

Elevated LDH levels can mean many things- in the context of lymphoma, it generally could refer to the presence of a tumor and the subsequent inflammation. The weight loss is concerning as well, but do you know how long it took for her to lose 10 pounds? Ten years after being treated for her NHL, the likelihood that this is a relapse is very very low. This doesn't mean it can't be a new NHL subtype, it just means that 10 years is a long time- most experts would regard 10 years cancer-free as being cured of the original cancer. Is she having any other symptoms?
