OK well this is just speculation based on limited information, but yes a reactive node could be malignant; there are many many causes of a reactive node, many of them benign (or at least not lymphoma-related); would the lump continue to grow if not malignant, yes, but it would likely also shrink on its own. and Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL) is not hereditary in the hereditary sense, meaning according to current information, there is no HL gene that can be passed down. However, some people are at a slightly higher risk of developing HL than others, and these people are people who have siblings that have had HL.
