Has anyone been misdiagnosed with brain lymphoma? What was your experience? My husband had surgery biospy and was diagnosed GBM brain tumor. Given 6000 Gy radiation. 5 months later they realized they made a mistake and he has brain lymphoma- PCNSL.

They misdiagnosed PCNSL for GMB? That's odd. GMB comes from a specific brain cell, glial cells. PCNSL meanwhile originates in the white blood cells of the lymphatic fluid in the brain and spinal cord. Furthermore, while glioblastoma generally causes the development of a tumor, PCNSL does not. This seems like a colossal blunder. The radiation may have helped some, but PCNSL treatment usually includes combination chemotherapy as well as radiation.
