The reason that I am asking
The reason that I am asking this is because I have been getting pain under my arm, ears and shortness of breath. I don’t feel anything under my arm just pain.
It sounds like you might be
It sounds like you might be on Rituxan maintenance therapy. Unfortunately the answer to your question is yes- you can still develop cancer. Rituxan maintenance has shown to be effective in keeping patients in remission for longer periods than without it, but this doesn't hold true for every patient.
The fact that you are in remission means that you should always keep a close eye on your body and be somewhat paranoid about the slightest things, simply because those things may indicate a return of the cancer, or a secondary cancer, or a cancer unrelated to the one for which you were initially treated. Reason 8,777,313 why cancer sucks-- it's just so so unpredictable.
Thank you so much but tell me
Thank you so much but tell me what if I got some blood lab test and everything looked okay. Tomorrow I am going to get the results of some x-rays, and I am really scared. I really don’t want to go throw all that again. Because it is really painful and I have two small kids, that need me.

hon, you are in remission.
hon, you are in remission. you DO have cancer. its kind of like how an alchohlic stops drinking but he is still an alchohlic.
if you are having symptoms of cancer and doing treatment still, your doctors should know.
yes be very aware of what your body is doing. everything and anything, is possible.
prayers and hope for you.

We can never take our body
We can never take our body for granted. Remission means just that it has remissed for a time. Remission does not have a standard amount of time--so GO to your doctor. The worst questions is the one not asked. YOU ARE YOUR BEST ADVOCATE-SO ADVOCATE.
Can you describe what
Can you describe what remission is?? And I have been on remission from hodgkins for about 5 months. I have been dealing with shortness of breath in my chest, have done a lot of pulmonary tests but nothing there?? Waiting for a breast biopsy and another ct scan...I was also getting a sharp pain in my arm, back and heart..doc thinks it is a pinched nerve...any advice you can give me?? I also gained a lot of weight...kow the shortness of breath is not that issue...
being in remission means
being in remission means that, post-therapy, no scans or tests show any cancer in your body. this doesn't mean it isn't there, it just means that it's too small (or possibly non-existent) to be detected. You could have scattered cancer cells still hanging around, but being in remission means that you are symptom-free and ostensibly cancer-free according to any laboratory markers. often, patients in remission sense every tiny pain or discomfort and worry that their cancer has returned. This may be the case with you. Speaking technically, if your cancer hasn't returned in five years following therapy, you are considered cured. Until then, you're in remission. Your cancer may return, it may not. the longer you remain in remission, the better your chances of staying cancer-free.
