Can I have lymphoma without noted enlarged lymph nodes? I have sweats/chills/itchy skin, 24 hrs.I have been throughalot of GI tests, but all normal.Iam so tired, and have bone pain, Hip, rib, back, neck. What should I ask my Dr? They suggest GI specialist

Go get a second or third opinion.

Late 2008 I was having night sweats, aches and pains. In early March 2009 I started having severe shortness of breath. Subsequent chest X-ray and CT showed a Nerf-football-sized tumor in the middle of my chest that actually had collapsed my left lung (the cause for my shortness of breath).

I was subsequently diagnosed with Non Sclerosing Hodgkin's Lymphoma Stage 2B (B for bulky). No enlarged lymph nodes were present whatsoever before, during or after.

If you've been through the entire battery of GI tests and everything is negative, then obviously, it's most likely not GI related.

Good luck.

Thank You so much, I have had

Thank You so much, I have had some shortness of breath and sternum pain, but not enough to warrant an ER trip. I start to feel like a hypochondriac with all these symptoms and am feeling embarrassed with all these appts and no diagnosis. Iam not imagining my symptoms, and Iam an LPN for over 20 years.

You may have enlarged lymph

You may have enlarged lymph nodes and not be aware of them. Hodgkin's lymphoma moves in an orderly fashion, from nodal region to nodal region, but NHLs have no predictable movement. You may have enlarged nodes in your chest or elsewhere that can't be reached by hand. I'm not saying you do or do not, I'm merely saying that unless you've had the proper scans, you can't be sure that nodes aren't swollen or enlarged somewhere.

Thank You for your advice. I

Thank You for your advice. I have been looking at other posts and notice I also can't tolerate any alcohol without turning totally red in the face and neck area. The back of my neck near head really hurt. That is new in last 2 months.I never had a problem with drinking some wine before. Also itching and sweats are unbearable. Pain in my side right very bad too. Liver maybe? What test should I ask for? Do blood tests show anything? Theyv'e ruled out kidney or liver disease because urine and enzymes were normal, so I didn't know what else to consider. Thank You, God Bless, Diane

My Dr told me that my

My Dr told me that my eosinophil numbers were high, as I am trying to fugure out what's going on with me and my symptoms. My Ct scan looked good as with my spleen. I still have night and day sweats and itching, and tired. Today I found a couple slightly enlarged neck nodes, and two of them are hard like a split pea. I also started breaking out in random raised bumps, like tiny mosquitos bites and splotchy redness and itch on both arms and tops of hands. Is that a lymphoma sign or am I just having an allergic reaction to myself? I have no known allergies, nor used any new products nor touched any plants without gloves. Also, surprised to find a large purple bruise behind my knee. What an odd spot. I didn't go anywhere or do anything, but felt it during the night. Weird. Just wondering as I await my next appt to rule out the big and bad. Thanks, Diane Lynn
