so, i am really scared. i dont wanna lose Chance, like ever. every time i see him i wonder how many more times there will be. should i talk to him or would that be like...i dont know.i m afraid. thats all i know.

Anya- I can't imagine any

Anya-
I can't imagine any oncologist recommending watch and wait for PCNSL because it is such a serious subtype of lymphoma so I can't speak for that, but if Chance has been diagnosed with PCNSL then he is facing an extremely serious disease, a very difficult cancer to treat, one that has no standard treatment modalities because it's so rare and so difficult to treat.

I don't know you but your question, 'should i talk to him' the answer is yes yes yes. you're very young so either talking about difficult issues with him will be easy or it will be really hard. one way or the other, it has to be discussed. he deserves the opportunity to rant and scream and cry, and he deserves a loving ear (provided by you), and he also deserves to know from his doctors exactly what his chances of beating this cancer are. Doctors are notorious for not being straight and for leading their patients on, because it's a difficult thing to discuss, but it's an indignity to the patient.

I know you don't want to lose someone you love, but if you love him remember that this is the hour that he needs your love the most. It doesn't matter that you don't have all the answers, it doesn't matter that you don't know what to say, what matters is that you're there for him, that you listen to him, that you be with him, period.
