My father has been diagnosed with DLBCL NHL.We are yet to know the stage.can we guess it? Treatment:6 cycles of R CHOP followed by RT to neck. He has no symptoms apart from had sudden swollen neck & had total thyroidectomy.Wat r survial&cure rate

How is it that the stage

How is it that the stage isn't known but his treatment plan is? Granted the plan- R-CHOP, then RT, is standard treatment for DLBCL at almost any stage, even stage I. All that really may vary is the number of chemo cycles or the amount of radiation he will receive.

While the treatment itself doesn't tell us much about what stage his disease is in, his stage would give us a better indication of both survival and cure rates. Without knowing the stage, it's a broad range-- between 30% up to 90%. It sounds like he might be in an early stage simply because of the radiation field, but that's just a guess really.
