Is going through this for a fourth time really worth it?

My name is John and I am 40

My name is John and I am 40 years old. I have been through this 3 times in 27 years with chemo twice and radiation once. My symptoms of late disease (wt loss, itching, and night sweats) have returned. I dont know if I even want to go to the dr to find out because I really dont know what to do if I do have it. I try to talk to friends (because family would pressure me) but it is not the same talking to someone who has not been through it.

John- I'm sorry your cancer

John-
I'm sorry your cancer appears to be back. Judging by your user name I'm guessing you're in health care and know the score better than most. Does a clinical trial not interest you, if standard therapies don't? You might also want to consider posing this question at the HL or NHL boards at this site's sister site, www.supportgroups.com,whichever is relevant for you. I hope you find the answer you're looking for.
