The Game's Brittany Daniel is a Lymphoma Survivor
Actress Brittany Daniel, 38, has revealed to People magazine that she was diagnosed with stage IV non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2011.
Daniel (pictured below at a 2004 fashion show in Bryant Park, New York), currently known for her role as Kelly Pitts on The Game, which she will reprise after a three-year hiatus, told the magazine that she began experiencing back pain, night sweats, and flu-like symptoms prior to her diagnosis.
Actress wants cancer patients to know they are not alone
She immediately began undergoing chemotherapy treatments while convalescing in the guest house of her twin sister and former co-star on the television show Sweet Valley High, Cynthia. She kept her diagnosis and treatment under wraps during that time.
Now cancer-free, she says she is going public to let others know who have cancer that there is hope. "I want to let people know it is absolutely possible to get through something like this," she told the weekly magazine. "I want people to know they are not alone."
