Paraguayan President tells reporters he's in remission

From the doorstep of Syrian Lebanese Hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Paraguayan president Fernando Lugo told reporters that after just three of six scheduled chemotherapy cycles, his non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is in remission.

Despite this, he intends to complete his full chemotherapy regimen, which he will finish up later this year in December.

President Lugo was speaking from Syrian Lebanese Hospital because he had been rushed there on Saturday because of a blood clot in his superior vena cava, very likely induced by the chemotherapy.
