New Jersey Senator released from hospital

Frank Lautenberg, the Democratic Senator from New Jersey who earlier this week announced he had been diagnosed with a "B-cell lymphoma of the stomach", has been released from Mount Sinai Medical Center, according to the congressional newspaper Roll Call.

Despite calls from some arguably biased bloggers that the five-term Senator step down, the 86 year old Lautenberg has insisted that he will continue to work through the next couple of months while receiving chemotherapy.
