Russian Tennis pro Alisa Kleybanova made her triumphant return to the court this week, less than a year after being diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in May of 2011 and just months after finishing combination chemotherapy treatments.

Prior to her diagnosis, Kleybanova had been ranked among the top 20 tennis players in the world.

On Tuesday the 22 year old was a wild card entry at the Sony Ericsson Open, facing Johanna Larsson of Sweden.

She won, beating Larsson 2-6, 6-3, 6-2.

The victory means she'll next face 22-seeded fellow Russian Maria Kirilenko.
