Was diagnosed in Feb.2009-non hodgkins.......

Well, like I said I was diagnosed in Feb....well but the thing is I knew a year ago I had it! I went to over 17 doctors and not one believed me! Not until I had my tonsils out in Jan. and of couse my worst nightmare did finally come out. I've been in treatment for 3months so far and I have 2 treatments more. I cant wait til the treatments are over! Its hell and I hate it! I just want my life back...I'm a good person, and I live my life to the fullest everyday...I never take anything for granted. So its hard to adjust to all of this...knowing I have to live with this for the rest of my life.

dear kylaburton i went threw the same think no one would listen to me i had many lymph nodes that were swollen for no apparet reason no infection no colds nothing like that i didnt have Tb or anything i finally got to a great DR who actually listened to ALL my symptoms swollen lymph nodes night sweats low grade fevers on an off for no apparent reason itchy skin etc..... and he says he is 99% sure its lympoma and he is sending me to the surgeon to have a biopsy for staging he thinks i am either stage 2or 3 if i had listened to the other Dr i would be at stage 4 and half dead...... Good thing we keept being persistant.

Since the early 1970s, incidence rates for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma have nearly doubled. Improved diagnosis has contributed greatly to the increase as doctors better understand cancer of lymphocytes and can distinguish it from other diseases.
