LYMPHOMA IN CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM

My mother was diagnosed with lymphoma in the central nervous system back in 205. We lost her to the disease a few months after and i was wondering if anyone has dealt with this illness before. My mother was fine one day and started having problems with her legs and a hard time walking. When she came to visit me in December she was walking with a cane. By January she could no longer walk. after lots of MRI'S and two spinal taps, a biopsy of her central nervous system came back positive for diffused lymphoma. Its been four years later and I am still struggling with her disease and passing because it took over so quickly. Thanks, Nancy

Since the early 1970s, incidence rates for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma have nearly doubled. Improved diagnosis has contributed greatly to the increase as doctors better understand cancer of lymphocytes and can distinguish it from other diseases.
