Hello! I'm new, and confused!

Hi everyone! My husband, we do not think he has lymphoma, but, we are not sure. He was diagnosed with a rare disease called neurosarcoidosis 2 years ago, and is not responding to treatment, Which leads me to my questions. So many people I have found online, diagnosed with neurosarc, were firstly diagnosed with lymphoma. Alex's doc did no specialzed testing before diagnosing him, and I am scared that he jumped the gun too quick. He is not reponding to any treatment for neurosarc, and lymphoma looks so closely to neurosarc, that we are unsure. Does anyone have any input on this?? Thank you so much. My prayers are with you all.
