Hello all - MCL stage 4 diagnosed about 9 hours ago

I've been searching the net and it looks like i get to be special once again. was diagnosed with pancreatitis at age 6 (which is/was unheard of).
The MCL won't get me into the medical books like the pancreatitis did, but MCL appears to be rare, so i'm in a small select group. yeah!... NOT!! (15.000 MCL's in USA).
anyway,.. all treatments and tribulations are ahead of me.
yes it's scary, especially the ordeal of chemo, but my doc says it won't be as bad as my mom's chemo 10 years ago for ovarian cancer (she made it 3 1/2 years). sure hope he's right, the whole thing was scary, and the chemo nearly killed her.

i hope my outcome will, at the least, help further the medical knowledge of and treatment for MCL. the more cancers we can successfully treat the better. no doubt we're all agreed on that.
ideally i'll live to see halley's comet come again, but i'd have to be about 130 years old for that to happen so,.. a little unlikely.

it'd be nice if i have the time, and enough manageable and lucid days to finish some of my unfinished poems and songs and maybe write one of the books/rants i've longed to, but never got around to. like how americans are stupid for letting the obscenely wealthy get away with everything.

it'd be great if i could make it long enough to become a grandfather. especaily since my son has no plans to procreate in the near future. But, he does have a very cute girlfriend, and he's 25, soo ... not everything is planned in life.

anyway, this is my hello.

god bless and good luck to all

Did You Know?

Since the early 1970s, incidence rates for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma have nearly doubled. Improved diagnosis has contributed greatly to the increase as doctors better understand cancer of lymphocytes and can distinguish it from other diseases.
