KGO Radio Hosting its 29th Annual Cure-A-Thon

This Friday and Saturday April 3-4, San Francisco Bay Area AM radio station KGO Newstalk 810 will be running their annual Leukemia Cure-a-Thon. The Cure-A-Thon is a 24-hour, commercial-free pledge and auction show featuring virtually all of KGO's on-air staff. For 24 solid hours they take calls from listeners who pledge donations or place auction bids on a wide variety of items.

This year marks the 29th Cure-A-Thon for KGO, and over that time span they have raised in excess of $16 million on behalf of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Last year alone the Cure-a-Thon raised over $1 million.

The Cure-a-Thon begins at 7 PM Pacific time, Friday April 3.

You can donate online here, and between now and the start of the Cure-a-Thon Friday night, leading organic foods and drinks maker CLIF BAR will match all donations made online.
