Ski4Life" ski and snowboard marathon event

March 6th, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will be holding a 12 hour "Ski4Life" ski and snowboard marathon fundraiser at Ski Roundtop in Lewisberry, PA.
Ski4Life participants enjoy 12 hours on the slopes with live bands, an evening bonfire, great food, and the camaraderie with other skiers and snowboarders that can only be felt when supporting a great cause such as curing blood cancers and supporting local cancer patients and their families
Bands play next to the lodge from 2-6 p.m., food is provided to keep participants energized, the Torchlight Parade to commemorate lives touched by cancer finishes off the event at 9 p.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at guest services.
During the event, participants will enjoy a Hot Dog Lunch. We are thrilled to have our generous friends at Wendy's sponsor the Hamburger and Chili dinner again! We will also have snacks to keep participants energized all day.
Each participant receives an all-day lift ticket, an official Ski4Life t-shirt and racing bib, a Ski4Life goody bag, and entry into the Carbo-Load Brunch, lunch and dinner. Guests are invited to attend the Carbo-Load Breakfast at 8 a.m.
Individuals raise a minimum of $300, and teams raise a minimum of $1,000 ($250/person). Major prizes will be awarded to the top fundraising individuals and teams. Smaller prizes will be awarded to the individuals and teams with the most vertical feet.
School clubs and organizations can enter teams into the 2010 Ski4Life School Challenge and win a pizza party, ice cream party, and even electronics for your ski club, organization and/or school. I know that this announcement is only for a few thousand readers who live near this event. However, millions more live near an area where you can ski. There’s no reason you can’t create your own similar event, either for the LLS, or for another cancer organization you care about.
