Senator Sununu Goes Bald for the Cause

U.S. Senator John Sununu is sporting a buzz cut, but not because he couldn't handle the heat in Washington. He recently shaved his head to show solidarity with Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania, who lost his hair while undergoing chemotherapyfor Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Sununu said he noticed that members of Specter's Senate Judiciary Committee staff shaved their heads to support their boss, and he decided to follow suit. "I thought it was a great thing for them to do and may be something I should consider," he said. Sununu said Specter was surprised to see his new hairstyle but appreciated the show of support.
